There will be an opportunity to drive the revised Edgehill Run starting and finishing at the Archive Centre in Banbury. This run was originally used to check the economy of Rootes Cars and then started and finished at the Humber Road Plant in Coventry. Maybe you would like to check your car against its original performance figures?
For a donation of £5.00 we can provide a road map which includes tulip diagrams for the course. The average distance for the full course is 73 miles with a duration of approx. 2-1/2 to 3 hours adhering to speed restrictions in force. If member Clubs want to organise their cars into groups they could cover the entire course or just part of it with the information provided. Other routes in the local area are also available.
For the rest of the day, there will also be Rootes related items on sale, e.g. literature and memorabilia. Anyone with un-wanted items could bring them along to swap or simply purchase the items available.
Visitors may also take the opportunity to look at the Archive and ask questions.
